She laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new house for an underprivileged family residing at Kumana, area of the Damana Divisional Secretariat Division during a brief ceremony held on 05 February 2024, under the instructions of Commander Security Force – East, General Officer Commanding of 24 Infantry Division and under the directions Brigade Commander 242 Infantry Brigade with the close supervision of the Commanding Officer of 8 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard, Major E.D.S.K Deniyaya. The troops of 8 SLNG provide much-needed manpower and technical assistance for the construction. The generous philanthropists of the area provide the financial contribution for this charitable work.
