IN LINE WITH THE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS, OFFICERS & SOLDIERS OF 3 (V) SLAWC MEET INMATES AT PULATHISIPURA PARAKUM CHILDREN’S AND ELDERS’ HOME

At Pulathisipura Parakum Children’s and Elders’ Home - POLONNARUWA received a memorable interaction with SFHQ(E) women solders They had a session of entertainment on Wednesday (07) when the members of the 3 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps of the Security Force Headquarters - East called at the Home for Children and Adults. The initiative was initiated by the Commander Security Forces (East) Major General Santhusitha Pananwala as a gesture of goodwill.

The good will gesture was arranged under the leadership of Major Chamari Wejethilaka Commanding Officer of the 3 (V) SLAWC with the support of lady Officers and other woman soldiers. During the programme, those young and elderly were served the dinner and enjoyed Calypso music entertainment, in which they also sang together and experienced the joy. The evening was brightened by some eye catching dancing performances by little children and the elders and it was heart-warming to see such talents.

Polonnaruwa, Thamankaduwa deputy Chief incumbent of Navanagaraya Vidyaloka Temple Ven Demunnawe Uparathana Thero, North Central Province Adhikarana Sanga nayaka, Chief incumbent of Kaduruwela Jayanthi Temple Ven Kaduruwela Dhammapala Thero, Main sister Mrs. A M Pathma Gangodathenna and Commander Security Forces (East) Major General Santhusitha Pananwala, BAQ SFHQ(E) Colonel Chanaka Weragoda CCCA SFHQ(E) Lieutenant Colonel Thilak Ranasingha and Commanding Officer of the 3 (V) SLAWC Major Chamari Wejethilaka participated in the event.
