MEDICAL CAMPAIGN ORGANIZED BY 12 SLNG TROOPS AT PULIPANCHIKAL

According to concept and guidance of the Commander, Security Force-East, Major General Prasanna Gunarathne RSP ndu psc IG, and General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General KVNP Premarathne RSP USP psc, under supervision of the Commander, 232 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier KA Pushpakumara, 12 SLNG troops organized medical campaign for civilians to inspect and provided 150 spectacles to civilians above the age of 45 years on 28 October 2023 at the MOH office complex in Pulipanchikal

Accordingly, a medical campaign to examine and provide spectacles to 150 visually impaired civilians living in 12 village of the Thoppigala area, which is most remote area in Eastern province, sponsor and contribution of George Gunarathne Opticians Company with the participation of Managing Directors Mr. Lakshman Gunarathna and Mr. Siri Abeygunarathna

For this occasion General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, Major General KVNP Premarathne RSP USP psc, participated as the chief guest, and Commander, 232 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier KA Pushpakumara, Staff Officers of the Security Force Headquarters - East, 23 Infantry Division and 232 Infantry Brigade were also participated. Commanding Officer, 12 SLNG, Major BMC Wanninayake, Divisional Secretary Koralapathu South Mr. S Rajbahu, and 220 residents were attended to this campaign
