NEELAPOLA, KANGUVALI BUND RENOVATED WITH MAJOR CONTRIBUTION AND COLLABORATION OF THE ARMY

The renovation of the neelapola, kanguvali bund, located in the SFHQ (East) area and severely damaged by the recent floods on the island, is currently underway with significant support from the Army in collaboration with the Irrigation Department. To assess the progress of the renovation work, the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters (East), Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, together with senior officers, visited the neelapola, kanguvali bund area on 11 December 2025.

During the visit, The Commander of SFHQ (East) and senior officers inspected the flood-damaged neelapola, kanguvali bund.
