TROOPS OF 224 BRIGADE CONSTRUCT TWO NEW HOUSES FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

Two new houses constructed by the troops of 224 Brigade with the blessings of the General Officer Commanding 22 Division Major General Aruna Jayasekara were handed over to two needy families in Thambalagamuwa, on 13 September 2018. This project was launched under the supervision of Commander, 224 Brigade, Colonel EAP Ediriweera.

The total manpower requirement for this project was provided by the 6 SLAC (RFT), 15 SLLI and 24 SLNG Battalions. The construction of the two houses was completed within 3 months under the sponsorship of 'Sri Siddhartha Foundation'.

Divisional Secretary Thambalagamuwa, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers of 22 Div, Police Officers, Community leaders and a large gathering of civilians were present at the ceremony.
