According to the guidance of the GOC 22 Infantry Division Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndu and the Brigade Commander of 221 Infantry Brigade Col AK Peiris RSP, with the close supervision of the Commanding Officer of 20th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment, the troops of 20 GR conducted the drainage system clearing program for flood affected community of Pulmoddai Ward No 1 Hairiya Road and Pulmoddai Ward No 2 Sathkuwanagar (near to Lanka Mineral and Sand Limited) on 14th November 2023 due to heavy rain.

The aim was to elevate and refine their understanding of accounting procedures and ensure their accurate application across various domains. According to an information received by 7 Military Intelligence Corps troops, together with Sooriyapura Special Task Force officials, a person was apprehended with 2.500 g of Methamphetamine (ICE) at Mollipothana on 11 Nov 2023. Thereafter suspected person with illegal drugs were handed over to the Thabalagamuwa Police Station for further investigations.
