WORKSHOP ON “WALKING ON THE HIGH-WIRE” THE ART OF MAKING DECISIONS UNDER CONDITIONS OF UNCERTAINTY

Training and development of military officers in decision making is paramount important for the survival of individuals & organizations which are operating in ever advancing technology driven complex operational environment, with full of uncertainties and vulnerabilities.

In view of above, Commander Security Force (East) Major General Santhusitha Pananwala invited Dr. Ajith Colonne BSc, MBA, MA(Econ), PhD a well-known public speaker, a veteran lecturer for military and business students and a cognitive trainer to conduct a two day workshop for the Grade 1 and above Officers on 01 and 02 August at the Security Force Headquarters (East).

The workshop was aimed at presenting an advanced knowledge based and an in-depth analysis of the Decision making for managerial and leadership effectiveness under conditions of uncertainty. It recognized the rational decision making process through DISC approach (Decision and Information Sciences) and conceptual overview of risk and strategy and crisis management. In addition it touched on the art of coping with these parameters and exploring the opportunities associated with.
