16TH SRI LANKA NATIONAL GUARD CONSTRUCTS AND HANDS OVER NEW HOUSE TO LOW-INCOME FAMILY

Under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General P. R. Pathiravithana, USAWC psc, and the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding the 24 Infantry Division, the 16th Sri Lanka National Guard, deployed under the 243 Infantry Brigade, successfully completed the construction of a new house and handed it over to a low-income family. This was done with the sponsorship of the Pinbima Surakimu friends group and Mr. Chandradasa Hettiarachchi, under a community welfare project as part of the civil-military coordination program.

The house was officially handed over on 28 April 2025 in the Aranthalawa Mahaoya area.

The Commander Security Forces (East) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, the Commander 243 Infantry Brigade, senior and junior officers, other ranks, sponsors, police and Special Task Force officers, and civilians also attended the event.
