Esala Full Moon Poya is a significant day in the Buddhist calendar. It was on an Esala Full Moon Poya Day that the Buddha arrived at the Deer Park in Isipathana to deliver His first sermon, the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, to the five ascetics—Ven.
