The 10th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry conducted a blood donation programme at camp premises Palinagar on 16 June 2025, under the guidance of Colonel M S P Bandara USP psc, Commander 561 Infantry Brigade, with the coordination and supervision of Lieutenant Colonel D N T De Zoysa WWV RWP RSP, Commanding Officer, 10th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
The programme was conducted with the collaboration of the blood bank of District General Hospital - Kilinochchi. The primary focus of the event was to commemorate the “Fallen War Heroes” who sacrificed their lives for the long-lasting peace, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. Nearly 100 Army personnel from infantry brigades and battalions under the 56 Infantry Division actively participated for blood donation programme.
