542 Infantry Brigade initiated another awareness program on cultural dance competition among schools in Mannar district on 21 February 2024 from 1400 hrs to 1800 hrs at Mannar Town Hall. We believe that as a result of this great exercise, the theme of this event is “Our Culture”, it will be of great help in developing harmony between different races and religions, sharpening the skills of school children and developing friendships among them and finally, as a result, we achieved the dignity of the army.
Fourteen schools which are level schools in the zonal education office Madhu and Mannar competitors participated in the Competition. The District Secretary, Divisional Secretaries, Directors of the Education Office Mannar and Madhu, and Public Relations officers were invitees was said event.
The event was organized under the close supervision of 542 Brigade Commander Colonel TLM Chandrasekara RWP psc, the guidance of 54 Infantry Division Commander Major General KMPSB Kulatunga RSP ndu psc and the event was coordinated by Civil Affairs Officer 542 Infantry Brigade, Major M .V. Fernando and assistance of 4 Gajaba Regiment and 8 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops event was succeeded.
