In view of making an Eco friendly environment in Wanni region, troops under 543 Brigade launched Tree Planting programme at Fatima Maha Vidyalaya in Pesalaion 19 October 2018.
The Tree Planting campaign was organised by troops of 543 Brigade under the directions of Commander 543 Brigade, Brigadier H M T B Hangilipola RWP RSP and with the supervision of General Officer Commanding of 54 Division Brigadier W G H A S Bandara RWP RSP ndu.
This event was taken place in coincide the major programme of planting 5000 saplings to increase the forest lands in the area.
The Principle Mr Meril Croose together with teachers and students of the school participated in the event.
Civil Affairs Officer 54 Division Lieutenant Colonel R A D George made his presence as the Chief Guest of this programme.
