Troops of 56 Division organized a splendid function with military formalities on 08 September 2018 in order to welcome its newly promoted General Officer Commanding Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya ndu psc.
The newly promoted General Officer Commanding was bestowed with a Guard of Honour and Guard Turnout at the Headquarters premises of 56 Division. Later on, he gathered in an all rank tea party organized by the troops of the Headquarters of 56 Division.
The Commanders 561 and 563 Brigades, Colonel General Staff of 56 Division, Commanding Officers of under command battalions to 56 Division, senior officers, officers of 56 Division and its under command formations gathered in the occasion.
