Murugan Hindu Temple in Puthukkudiyiruppu that comes under 68 Infantry Division Area of responsibility Celebrated Hindu Thai Pongal festival on a grand scale on 15th January. The event was organized by Brigadier Anil Somaweera Brigade Commander 593 Infantry Brigade.
General Officer Commanding 68 Infantry Division Major General Senaka Kasthurimudali Brigade Commander 593 Brigade, Civil affairs Officer 68 Infantry Division, Commanding Officer 6th Sri Lanka National Guard, Senior Officers, officers, and other ranks from 68 Infantry Division and a large number of devotees attended for the celebrations and religious observances.
