ASSUMED DUTIES AS 11TH GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 62 INFANTRY DIVISION

Major General S R K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP ndu psc assumed duties as the 11th General Officer Commanding of the 62 Infantry Division amidst religious blessings and military formalities at the headquarters on Thursday, 07 April 2022.

The newly appointed General Officer Commanding of 62 Infantry Division was warmly welcomed by all Brigade Commanders and division Staff Officers and honoured with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour, presented by troops of 14 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

Afterwards, he placed his signature on the first official document to mark the assuming of duties at the presence of senior officers. The General Officer Commanding was invited to plant a sapling as a gesture of memory and later addressed all ranks of divisional troops followed by an all-ranks tea.
