ASSUMPTION OF DUTIES BY THE BRIGADE COMMANDER OF 211 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Colonel W W N P Wickramarachchi assumed duties as the 42nd Brigade Commander of the 211 Infantry Brigade on 09 December 2025 at Padavi Parakkramapura.

The newly appointed Brigade Commander formally took command during a ceremonial programme conducted in accordance with military traditions. The proceedings began with a brief religious observance, symbolically marking the spiritual sanctification of the occasion.

Colonel W W N P Wickramarachchi then signed the official documentation, formally signifying the assumption of his duties as Brigade Commander.

The ceremony continued with a Troops Address and an All Ranks Tea, during which the Brigade Commander shared his vision, priorities and expectations with the troops under his command, reinforcing his commitment to leadership, operational excellence and the welfare of all personnel.
