BRIGADIER J M U D JAYASIGHE ASSUMES IN OFFICE AS THE NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 62 DIVISION

The newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 62 Division, Brigadier J M U D Jayasinghe assumed in office at the Headquarters premises of 62 Division on 20 November 2018 amid religious observances and blessings conducted by Buddhist reverends.

At the arrival of the newly appointed GOC, troops of 9 Battalion Gajaba Regiment accorded a Guard Turnout at the entrance of the Division Headquarters and a Guard of Honour.

The new GOC was warmly welcomed by all Brigade Commanders under 62 Division together with Senior Staff Officers of Headquarters 62 Division, Commanding Officers of all Battalions under 62 Division and number of Other Ranks.
