Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Visits Affiliated Battalions

Major General K M P S B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (Wanni), conducted official visits to the 8 Field Engineers and the 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps on 29 April 2025.

Major General K M P S B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, was accorded a ceremonial drive-past and warmly welcomed by the respective Commanding Officers. To commemorate the occasion, he planted a mango sapling and posed for a group photograph with the Officers and Other Ranks.

A comprehensive briefing followed, during which the operational roles, responsibilities, and commitments of both battalions were outlined. The Commander then inspected the Battalion Headquarters and addressed the troops.

In his address, Commander Security Forces (Wanni), highlighted the importance of upholding the dignity of the Sri Lanka Army, maintaining discipline, and demonstrating integrity in both professional and personal conduct. He also urged all personnel to stay informed about evolving societal dynamics and to remain steadfast in their dedication to duty.

The visit concluded with the Commander signing the Visitors’ Book, where he expressed his appreciation for the professionalism and commitment displayed by the battalions.

Senior Officers from the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), along with Officers and Other Ranks, also participated in the event.
