Community Welfare Program by the 7 (Volunteer) Regiment, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps

A community welfare initiative was successfully conducted by the 7 (Volunteer) Regiment of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps on 08 May 2025, under the guidance of Brigadier B A M P Balasuriya RSP, Commander 212 Infantry Brigade. The program was organized under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 7 (V) Regiment, with the generous support and donation from Ven. Kalegama Rathana Visuddhi Thero.

As part of the program, building materials valued at Rs. 80,000 were donated to the Suwasarana Disability Care Home in Ganewalpola, Kekirawa, to support the wellbeing and development of its residents.

The event was conducted under the leadership of the Lieutenant Colonel M W Wishwamithra psc Commanding Officer 7 (V) Regiment, with active participation from unit troops, reflecting the regiment’s continued commitment to social responsibility and community upliftment.
