DISASTER MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE HELD AT GA OFFICE - VAVUNIYA

Government Agent Mr Sarathchandra arranged a Disaster Management Conference in GA Office Vavuniya on 10th Nov 2021. Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP Participated the conference as the head of the AOR.

Discussions were held on prevailing adverse weather condition and it’s impact on civil Population of the district. There it was discussed on possible measures to be taken to reduce landslides due to overflowing tanks, evacuation of people from those areas, providing accommodation and food, sanitation, and repairing damaged tanks.

DIG Vauvniya, Health Service Officials, Agricultural Officials, DMC Officials, Other Government Officials and Trade Union Members were participated the conference.
