Distribution of school equipment to school children with financial difficulties in 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Under Command Aera

Due to the current economic crisis in the country, 69 gift parcels including school equipment distributed for 69 students studying in Mahamailankulam Vidyalaya on 12 May 2025. Few entertainment activities and a lunch also arranged for the children.

The occasion was held with the Coordinated by retired officer, Major N S L M Lankapura with the guidance and direction of the Commander of the 563 Infantry Brigade, Civil Affairs Officer - 563 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of the 7 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and with the financial contribution from “Husma” society.

The president of the “Husma” society – S M C Samarasinghe and members, Civil Affairs Officer - 563 Infantry Brigade Lt Col D R Tharukarathne, Commanding Officer of 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Major M K D P P K Kankanige RWP RSP USP psc, Second In Command of 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment A S C De Silva, 03 x 10 troops of 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 69 students, 07 teachers and 65 parents have been participated for the occasion.
