621 Brigade organized and distributed 251 Spectacles in Parakramapura, Padaviya, Sripura, and Welioya area under the direction of Brigadier Dammika Jayasinghe, the General Officer Commanding - 62 Division. This event was sponsored by Vathara, hornagam “Apekattiya Mithuruhamuwa” which was ceremonially distributed at Parakramapura Mahavidiyalya premises on 24 December 2018.
On the request of the Commander, 621 Brigade, the much-needed spectacles were donated by "Apekattiya Mithuruhamuwa" distributed among 251 civilians in general area Welioya.
This occasion was grazed by the General Officer Commanding of the 62 Division Brigadier Dammika Jayasinghe, Commander 621 Brigade, together with the donor, Apekattiya Mithuruhamuwa with several Senior Officers of the 62 Division, 621 Brigade, 14 (Voluntary) Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 17 Sri Lanka National Guard .
