As a concept of the Commander of Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, all military establishments in island wide organising various events to mark the 69th Army Anniversary. In that context, the Headquarters 56 Division organised a Flag March from Omanthai to Thandikulam on 09 October 2018 under directions of General Officer Commanding 56 Division Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya ndu psc.
Over 400 troops representing 561, 563 Brigades and all under command battalions marched with pride and valour under flags of their respective establishments.
The General Officer Commanding 56 Division Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya ndu psc, Commanders of 561 and 563 Brigades together with Commanding Officers of all under command battalions took part in the Flag March.
