The Colombo Branch of Hilton Hotels and Resorts donated computers and some relevant items to install a computer laboratory at Kalyanipura School in Mulativu. This was long-felt requirement which had been an obstacle to get facilitated with modern technology based education for students of this school .
Donation was contained with 06 Brand New Computers, Tables, Chairs and equipment for Wi-Fi connection to facilitate students and to enhance their knowledge on Information Technology which suits to obtain certain goals of modern education.
This social welfare programme was organised under the guidance of Commander 621 Brigade Colonel P S K Sanjeewa RWP RSP USP and it was held at Kalyanipura School on 16 February 2018 with the participation of Chief Security Officer, Mr. Rajendra Watuwita and Head of the Audit Section, Mr. Hemananda Silva of Hilton Hotels and Resorts in Colombo Branch.
The General Officer Commanding of 62 Division Brigadier L A N S Wanigasinghe RWP RSP USP graced the occasion as chief guest.
Students of Kalyanipura School had staged a colourful dance during the programme to entertain all distinguished gathering.
The General Officer Commanding of 62 Division, Director of Divisional Education Office, Mr. R M Ramanayake, the Principal together with Academic and Non-Academic staff of the Kalyanipura School large number of students participated in this occasion.
