New 543 Infantry Brigade Commander Assumes Duties.

Brigadier N R L Gunasena psc assumed duties as the 14th commander of the 543 Infantry Brigade on 25 June 2025 at the 543 Infantry Brigade headquarters Pesalai, Mannar, amidst military formalities.

Upon arrival, he was warmly received by brigade staff officers. He was then accorded a Guard Turnout by the troops of the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery.

Subsequently, he symbolically placed his signature on a formal document admitting religious blessing. He also planted a slapping in the camp premises and addressed the troops. The Commanding Officer of 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery and 2nd In Command of 4th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment also participated in this event.
