NEWLY APPOINTED GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 21 INFANTRY DIVISION CONDUCTS MAIDEN VISIT TO FORMATION UNITS

Major General T N K Perera, the newly appointed 44th General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 21 Infantry Division, undertook his inaugural official visit to Headquarters 212 Infantry Brigade, 7 (V) SLAC, and 4 SLNG on 23 and 24 November 2025.

He was warmly welcomed by the Brigadier B A M P Balasooriya RSP Commander of the 212 Infantry Brigade and the respective Commanding Officers, During the visit, the GOC carried out a comprehensive inspection of operational preparedness, administrative efficiency, and welfare facilities provided to the troops. . Furthermore, GOC visited the respective Areas of Responsibility of the units, gaining first-hand insight into the prevailing security situation and ground realities.

The programme was attended by Brigadie, Commander 212 Infantry Brigade, Col GS and Commanding Officers of all battalions and troops of the 212 Infantry Brigade. Their presence reinforced the collective leadership effort towards strengthening divisional efficiency and ensuring mission readiness across all formations.
