Tree Planting Programme conducted by 5th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard

In line with the World Environment Day commemoration, the 5th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (5 SLNG) conducted a tree planting programme at the Bogoda Malwathuoya reservation and cleaning programme On 5 June 2025.

This initiative was carried out under the guidance of the Commander, 213 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier P M de Silva RSP USP, and under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of 5SLNG, major M N D Jayasinghe.

Officers and Other Ranks of the battalion actively participated in the programme, fostering environmental awareness and community collaboration.
