WAR HEROES COMMEMORATION AT 54 DIVISION

The 9thAnniversary of War Heroes Commemoration was held at 54 Division Headquarters on 18 May 2018. After hosting of the Division flag, National Anthem and Army song were sung by troops of 54 Division.

Then,all religious activities were organisedon account of commemorating the war heroes those who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the mother land. As the first religious event, a Bodhi pooja programme was held at the “Manuwehera” temple at 54 Division Headquarters.

Later on, the Hindu religious activities were held at “Thirukethishwaram” Kovil on 19 May 2018 and Roman Catholic Mass was held at St. Sebastian Church in Mannar on 20 May 2018 respectively.

All officers of 54 Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding officers and troops under command to 54 Division participated in all religious ceremonies.
