“GUARDIANS OF THE NATION” – THE SRI LANKA ARMY RECEIVES BLESSINGS FROM THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY IN VAVUNIYA

The Muslim community in Vavuniya in a unique gesture offered their blessings to the Sri Lanka Army for the 69th anniversary. This was the first ever instance the Muslim community organized a religious event and invited Security Force Wanni members to the Jumma Masjidh Mosque in the heart of Vavuniya city. In a symbolical event all flags of Security Force establishments in Wanni area were blessed. The holy mass conducted by Islamic Rev Al Hafeel Amir Mavulavi.

As the Chief Guest, Commander Security Force (Wanni), Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu, participated along with a cross section of Officers and Other Ranks where a large number of devout Muslim brethren in Vavuniya area gathered for the special mass.
