The 592 Infantry Brigade commemorated its 17th Anniversary on 29 December 2024 with a series of events that honored its proud heritage, fostered camaraderie, and reaffirmed its commitment to excellence. The celebrations were held under the leadership of Brigadier K L I Karunanayake RWP RSP ndc, Commander 592 Infantry Brigade.
The cricket tournaments highlighted the troops' physical fitness, teamwork, and competitive spirit. These events created a lively and memorable atmosphere, strengthening bonds and promoting unity within the Brigade.
Kovil blessing ceremony and solemn Bodhi Pooja ceremony, seeking blessings for the Brigade’s continued success and the well-being of its personnel. This spiritual observance set a reverent tone for the day’s proceedings.
A troops address was conducted and during which Brigadier K L I Karunanayake RWP RSP ndc, acknowledged the Brigade’s remarkable achievements. He paid tribute to the dedication, sacrifices, and resilience of its personnel, urging all ranks to uphold the Brigade’s values, remain steadfast in their duties, and strive for greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
The celebrations further nurtured camaraderie through an All-Rank lunch, fostering unity among the Brigade’s personnel.
