Beach cleanup programme conducted in line with the Clean Sri Lanka programme was held on 23 Feb 2025, under the guidance and instructions of Major General D R N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 59 Infantry Division, District Secretary Mr. A Uma Maheshwaran Supervision of Colonel M S I Aluwihare RWP RSP the Commander of 591 Infantry Brigade.
450 persons were joined to clean the Mullativu beach, coastline was cleaned, with the participants of Army, Navy, Police, Civil Security Department troops and Government Officials, Red Cross, Schools Chiders and Civilians participated in the programme.
