Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Launches New Year Coconut Plantation Drive to Promote Environmental Greening.

On 21 April 2025, the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) launched a coconut plantation programme in alignment with New Year rituals, symbolizing good luck and prosperity. Under the guidance of Major General K.M.P.S.B. Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, the Commander Security Forces (Wanni), the initiative aimed to make better use of bare lands within the headquarters while enhancing the area's environmental aesthetics.

The programme is centered around the planting of additional coconut trees, promoting both environmental sustainability and agricultural productivity. It gathered significant participation, featuring the Commander Security Forces (Wanni), along with the Staff of the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni). This united effort reflects a strong commitment to cultivating a greener environment while honouring cultural traditions associated with the New Year.
