BASIC SWIMMING AND LIFESAVING COURSE NO. 27 SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni), Major General K M P S B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Basic Lifesaving Course No. 27 was successfully conducted at the 21 Infantry Division swimming pool in Anuradhapura. The course involved the active participation of 20 other ranks from various units under Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni).

The certificate awarding ceremony took place on 19 February 2026 at the 21 Infantry Division swimming pool and was graced by Major General T N K Perera, General Officer Commanding, 21 Infantry Division, as the Chief Guest.

S/H102728 Infantryman Suraweera SAN – 12 VIR was awarded as the best student of the course. A Swimming display and various swimming activities were conducted by the students of the course to elegance the event. further, Children’s (Civil) Swimming display is being Conducted and appreciation Certificates were awarded to them

As a special moment of that course was, awarding of three certificates for International Life Saving, Water Safety and Cardio - Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) by Sri Lanka National Life Saving Association.
