The newly appointed Commander of 562 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K A S J Kodithuwakku USP ptsc, paid official visits to 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 12 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment on 02 May 2026. Upon arrival, the Brigade Commander was warmly received by the respective Commanding Officers and officers of the units.
During the visits, the Commanding Officers briefed the Brigade Commander on the roles, responsibilities, and ongoing activities of their respective units. Subsequently, Brigadier K A S J Kodithuwakku addressed the troops and shared his thoughts and guidance with all ranks.
Thereafter, the Brigade Commander placed commemorative remarks in the visitors’ books and conducted camp tours of both establishments. The visits concluded following cordial discussions with the Commanding Officers and officers of the units.
