On 29 November 2025, troops of the 141 Brigade carried out successful rescue operations in the general areas of Thihariya, Pahalagama, Gampaha and Medawaththa where severe flooding had stranded numerous residents. A total of 101 civilians including 55 males, 30 females, and 16 children were safely evacuated to secure locations. Also transportation has been facilitated in Gampaha area. The swift and coordinated effort ensured the protection and well-being of all rescued individuals during the adverse weather conditions.
