On November 29, 2025, troops from the 141 Infantry Brigade executed a prompt rescue operation in the Wijerama road, Gampaha region, where increasing floodwaters threatened several families. A total of 17 civilians, including 8 males, 6 females, and 3 children, were safely evacuated to secure locations. The troops' quick response and coordinated efforts ensured the safety and good health of all individuals impacted by the flooding.
