On 29 November 2025, troops of the 141 Brigade carried out successful rescue operations in the general areas of Ihala Bomiriya and Ganewaththa where severe flooding had stranded numerous residents. A total of 58 civilians including 18 males, 30 females, and 10 children were safely evacuated to secure locations. Timely coordinated effort ensured the protection and good health of all rescued during the adverse weather conditions.
