On November 29, 2025, troops from the 141 Infantry Brigade executed a prompt rescue operation in the Ihala Bomiriya and Ganewaththa regions, where increasing floodwaters threatened 12 families. A total of 58 civilians, including 18 males, 30 females, and 10 children, were safely evacuated to secure locations. The troops' quick response and coordinated efforts ensured the safety and good health of all individuals impacted by the flooding.
