As per the request made by the Gampaha District Disaster Management Unit, west troops assisted in the clearing and beautification of Negombo Beach Park in the 141 Infantry Brigade area after the bad weather conditions.
Accordingly, on the instructions of the Commander - Security Forces Headquarters (West) and under the direction of the Commander - 14 Infantry Division in coordination with the Commander - 141 Infantry Brigade, 01 × 15 troops belonging to the 6 Sri Lanka Artillery provided their assistance to remove the logs, trees, and branches of the trees that had drifted to the beach from 0900 hours to 1300 hours on 23 Nov 2023.
