On the Directions of Major General D G S Senarathyapa RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force (West), Awareness programme on Drug addiction and prevention of drugs was conducted at the Army gymnasium – Panagoda on 2nd August 2021.
The programme was successfully conducted by the in-service adviser and drug counsellor Mr. Kosala Thotawaththa for 18 Officers and 353 Soldiers with the health guidelines of prevention of Covid - 19.
Major General D G S Senarathyapa RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force (West) made the opening speech and highlighted the importance of educating Army troops on prevention of drugs and drug trafficking.
Then, Mr. Kosala Thotawaththa conducted an informative and valuable workshop covering important aspects of preventing from drug addiction. Further, Audience was also given an opportunity to clarify their doubts by ways of having discussions followed by Q & A session.
