Severe flooding has trapped residents along the Molkawa-Bulathsinhala road, and two teams from the Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps of 612 Infantry Brigade are conducting boat evacuations in the affected areas.
At Dambala, approximately 300 meters of roadway lie submerged under five feet of water, making the route impassable for light vehicles. Army personnel are providing boat transport services to stranded civilians.
Further flooding has been reported in Naliyedda, where around 250 meters of road remain underwater with depths reaching three feet. Military teams continue to monitor water levels and provide assistance to affected residents.
