COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) UNDERTAKES A FIELD VISIT TO PANGOLLA

Major General S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West), made a field visit to witness the ground level constructions of relocating area of 57 Infantry Division – Pangolla on 19 January 2024.

During the visit, he paid close attention to several key factors that would impact the success of the re-deployment of the 57 Infantry Division. Specifically, he was keenly interested in the existing structures and facilities at the location, including the administrative buildings and accommodation facilities. He also evaluated the accessibility and security of the area. In addition, he passed down the necessary instructions to the responsible officers on the continuation of the construction of the 57 Infantry Division.

Deputy General Officer Commanding of 57 Infantry Division, Brigadier Admin & Quartering of Security Forces Headquarters (West) and Senior Officers accompanied the West Commander during the visit.
