COMMANDER'S CHALLENGE TROPHY VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT – 2023 BEGAN AT ARMY CANTONMENT PANAGODA

As per the direction of the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, the ‘Commander's Challenge Trophy Volleyball Tournament – 2023’ kicked off from 0900 onward at the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps volleyball ground and Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps ground, Army cantonment – Panagoda on 27 March 2023.

Major General J M R N K Jayamanna RWP, General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest at the opening ceremony of the tournament and extended his warm wishes to all of the teams.

Further, ten teams, including the Security Forces Headquarters (West), Divisions and Brigades teams, are competing under two tables for supremacy of the tournament during 27 – 29 March 2023. The final match will be played at the Army Physical Training School, Army Cantonment - Panagoda, on 03rd April 2023.

The opening ceremony was attended by several Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Security Forces (West).
