New Commander 613 Infantry Brigade Assumes Duties

Colonel S J Samarasinghe psc assumed office as the 12th Commander of the 613 Infantry Brigade on 17 June 2025 amidst religious blessing and military formalities, inclusive of a Guard Turnout soon after his arrival at the premises.

After the formal military honours, Colonel S J Samarasinghe psc took over duties amidst religious observances and placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of his new office. Thereafter, the new Brigade Commander planted a sapling to mark the assumption of duties in the compound and sat for a group photograph. Afterwards, the new Brigade Commander shared refreshments with All Ranks.

After the formalities, Colonel S J Samarasinghe psc, addressed the troops, emphasizing the significance of discipline and its integral role in achieving success. He shared his vision for the command and outlined his goals, inspiring the troops to work towards common objectives.
