The newly appointed General Officer Commanding Major General KMV Kodithuwakku ndu was warmly welcomed with a ceremonial Guard Turnout presented by troops of the 9th Battalion, Gemunu Watch.
Subsequently, the brigade commanders briefed on their respective areas of responsibility. Later, the new General Officer Commanding addressed all officers and other ranks of the division. The day's events concluded with an all ranks tea.
