With the prior approval and guidance of the Commander Security Forces Head Quarters (West) and the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Under the supervision and participation with the Commander 143 Infantry Brigade, 40 troops of 16th Battalion, the Gajaba Regiment including the Commanding Officer participated for the Planting of Saplings (Ruk Ropana) as per the request made by the Director Forest Department Puttalam on 16 November 2023.
During the programme, 400 Saplings were planted (Karada) on both sides of the road along Kalladiya, Puttalam-Kurunegala main road.
