There were damages to the roofs of two buildings and one toilet complex at H.M. Rasnayaka Central College (National School) located in No. 276, Rasnayakapura Grama Niladhari Division at Nikaweratiya Divisional Secretariat Division of the Kurunegala District, due to adverse weather and strong winds affected to the general area Rasnayakapura on 30th May 2025 within the.
By the instructions and approval of the Directorate of Operations, and under the supervision of the GOC - 57 Inf Div, The Commander 571 Inf Bde and The Commanding Officer of the 9th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard, a team comprising 01 x 10 troops from 9 SLNG was deployed to assist the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) Kurunegala in removing fallen trees and clearing the premises.
Furthermore, to ensure the success of this operation, the following officials were participated and contributed to the efforts, Deputy Director of Disaster Management for Kurunegala District- Mr. NRA Viraj Dissanayake.
