SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WEST) CELEBRATES 69TH ARMY ANNIVERSARY
All Officers and Other Ranks of Security Force Headquarters (West) celebrated 69th Army Anniversary on Wednesday,10 September 2018 at the SF HQ (West) premises.
Hoisting of the Army flag and the SF(West) flag by the Commander Security Force (West) and the Brigadier General Staff -SF(West) respectively, commenced the day’s event, followed by reciting the Army Song. All gathered at the occasion revered the memory of fallen War Heroes in a two-minute silence, afterwards and the Commander’s Army Day message was read out.
In the meantime, a tree planting programme was launched at the SF HQ (West) premises. Apart from that medical assistance and meal packets were given for the inmates at Wilbert Perera Elders’Home, Korathota in connection with the 69th Army Anniversary.
