Commander, Security Forces (West) Major General SDT Liyanage WWV RWP ndc psc after assumption of his duties formally visited 14 Div, 142 Brigade , VPs in Colombo on 07 February 2018.
Troops presented a Guard Turnout to the New Commander at the arrival of the headquarters 142 Brigade and the Commander SF-West was warmly welcomed by Major General R A Nugera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, Commander 14 Division and Brig M K S Silva RWP RSP Commander 142 Brigade.
Afterwards, the Commander, SF-West visited the vulnerable points at Kolonnawa, Sapugaskanda, Kerawalapitiya and direct to perform their duties diligently and maintain the highest levels discipline.
During the visit the Commander spoke to the respective Brigade Commanders and Battalion Commanders and discussed on administrative and operational needs, welfare measures and the basic requirements of troops.
Finally Commander visited the 6th battalion the Gemunu Watch Headquarters, Mattakkuliya and addressed troops. Before his departure he added a complimentary remark in the Visitors’ Book.
