Anti Rabies Vaccination programme was organized at the Army Cantonment,Panagoda on the direction of the Commander Security Force (West) Major General Sathyappriya Liyanage. Under the guidance of the Brigadier General Staff of SF HQ (West) Brig J Thanthiriwatta RWP, first stage of the progamme was held at RHQ SLE on 17 September 2018.
Dr. Palitha Weerathunga the District Coordinator of Veterinary Public Health Unit in Colombo, came with a team and vaccinated stray dogs & cats living in the Army Cantonment, Panagoda. The programme was conducted in the aim of eradicate rabies and creating a healthier environment for the army personnel.
